Chapter 1
Schools out
My ice cream is melting down my hand, that’s when I know it's summertime and… School’s out! We all race out of school. The last day of school is always fun because we get ice cream.
I have already started my list of what I’m going to do:
- Go to the end of the year graduation ball, for seniors only, at the high school.
Yay, it was my last day at high school this year, now I can start my dream job of cooking. If only I had a cafe, and money to buy ingredients and drinks.
Chapter 2
Big News
When I get home, I see mum and Dad waiting at the table. “Come have a seat, we need to talk,” said Dad. “Your cousin is coming from New York later, and you need to be on your best behavior,” Said Mum.
“But Mum, I need to pick up my friends, set up the ball and I won't have enough seats in the car if she comes with me. (Pause) Fine she can come with me”.
Ding Dong! “I know who that is. Come in Come in please.”
“How are you?”
“Fantastic how are you?”
“Good good, what do you want do tonight because there is a ball on tonight?”
`“Yea that’s a good Idea, I will be ready in 5 minutes if you need my help. I am good at decorating”.
“Ok”
“What is the theme?’’
“Under the sea”
“OMG that is my favorite theme to do. How can I help?” asks Sophie.
“You can start by moving this box to the car and then you can get ready for the ball.’’ I tell her, “Do you have any clothes to wear to the ball?”
“Yes I have a choice I was going ask for help to get it out of my car.’’
“Yea yea sure, I can help you get it out.’’ I say.
“Come on then where am I staying?’’
“Up in the spare bedroom where there are rats and mice. I’m just joking around let's go grab your stuff.”
Chapter 3
Slow Down
1 hour later.
“Is that everything out of you car?”
“No we need to grab my puppy.”
“Quick we're going to be late for the ball when we’re driving in my car.”
“Then we'll take mine jump in.”
“STOP you're going to fast can you slow down.”
“Sorry It says that I’m going fifty inside a hundred zone.”
“No you’re not you're doing one hundred and fifty”.
“Sorry we need to get there fast.”
“I know I said that but I did not mean that fast.’’
“Ok I thought that you meant that fast sorry.”
“Stop right here, this is where one of my friends live.”
“Do we need to pick them up??”
“Yes all the others are here too. Meet Jessica, Lola, Molly, and Megan.”
“Hi, nice to meet you, I am Sophie Ann, but you can call me Sophie.”
“Where to next” Sophie says
“The ball” They all say
“Let’s go.”
Off they went into the dark night where only lights and music could be heard and seen.
At 12 pm people starting to leave but then there was a scream on the big screen, It was a movie, the people that had left came back in to see what had happened but they loved the movie so they stayed to watch. “Are you thirsty, do you girls want a drink?’’ asked Sophie. All the girls wanted a drink so Megan helped take them over to the others. “Thanks you guys,” they all said. Once they had drunk all their drinks they fell asleep but they were not sleepy at all. “I think that drink had poison in it,” Sophie said to herself. “What do I do?”
Then she remembered her medical training.
“I wonder what the ambulance number is, It could be 111. Let’s try that”.
“Hello what is your emergency?”
“Some people drank some poison or something and they're not waking up!” Sophie heard the sirens and saw the lights she knew they were close. The question the was repeating in her mind was, am I safe here the question going over and over in her mind. “Are they coming? I need to get out of here” Sophie said.
Chapter 4
Help
Sophie went outside and got into her car but then she realized that she left the car unlocked. There was a man in the back but she did not know that until she drove away. The man jumped into the front seat and screamed “Pull over, NOW!!!!!!” “Uh um y-yes o-ok sir” Sophie dials her auntie’s number when the man wasn’t looking but she did not answer her phone she was asleep. The man got out of the car and went to Sophie, picked her up and put her down down down a deep well. The well started filling up with water but she can’t get out. “HELP HELP PLEASE IS ANYBODY THERE HELP” Sophie cried.
Chapter 5
Hello
In the morning Aunty Jane and Uncle Bruce got up and grab a piece of fruit and started looking for Sophie. By the morning the water in the well was up to her knees and then she realized that she needed to get out of here fast or she might drown with her sore legs and arm. When the runners run around the well she could get a chance to get out. “HELP PLEASE HELP” She says in pain. The first runner sees her and rung the ambulance and the fire truck, “There is a girl in her early twenties stuck down the well. She complains of both sore leg and one sore arm we are at 396 North RD.
When they get here I say, “My cousin is at the ball and they need help’’. But he just ignores me. The man from the hospital said “How on earth did you get down the well?” “A a man pushed me down the well. He was in my carl, I don’t know how but he was in the car and he told me to stop. Then he got a gun out and said he will shoot me, so I did what he told me”. “Do you know his name?” “Kind of he had his gun licence and the name on that was Harry Dean McFluff”
“Wow that is an interesting name”.
“Whys that”. Said the Girl.
“We have had trouble with him before”.
Chapter 6
We found him
The next day she woke up in the hospital with one cast on her leg. She had banged one hard but it did not do anything to her leg apart from a few cuts. At lunchtime she got a phone call saying they had found Harry. “Yay the mystery of the kidnaper is solved.
A few minutes later she was on the news she knew this was bad because she had ran away from home. And she knew that her parents would find her. All she wanted to do was to get away from her mother's new boyfriend.
The phone is ringing and she doesn't know who it is. “Hello Sophie is that you”? “Sorry love you have the wrong room”. Sophie said with a different voice.
“OH No they have found me this is not good”. She stop beep beep the air is not coming through her lungs. Is she have a heart attack?
Chapter 7
Heart attack
The nurses runs in and ring the stage 4 bell that says she is having a heart attack and it could be risky. After her heart attack she was fine but if she keeps on getting them daily she would be in trouble.
The next day they scanned her leg for broken bones and they found 4 broken bones and they needed to operate on her as soon as they possibly could. A few hours later the nurse came in and told her she need a parent or caregiver's signature and approval, so they could operate on her. So she rang her aunty and said ”Can you come and sign some papers so I can have an operation done on me lease”. “We're right outside of your door”. “Could you talk to my nurse first please” “Ok”
A few minutes later the door opened it wasn’t a nurse or anty or uncle it was Mum and her boyfriend.
I rang the bell “GET HIM OUT OF HERE NOW!!!!!”
The nurse and security came straight away.
“Why don’t you like him”?? “Because I think that you're replacing dad and I don’t like him. And if you're going to be that way than get out.”
Sophie had been in the hospital for a few weeks now and her birthday is tomorrow. Wow I have birthday in the hospital how lucky.
The next day Mum comes back with Dad.
“Dad what are you doing here?”
“More importantly why are you in a hospital.”
“Didn’t you here on the news a girl gets pushed down a well and couldn’t get out for a few days.”
“Yes Oh that was you who pushed you down a well?” “A man, He is captured though are you going to see if they put charges on him?”
“Yes I am”
Chapter 8
The last test.
This is the last test I’m doing it is to see if I am capable to get out of the hospital. I had been transferred to the testing room for the last test. The nurses were saying that the result should be coming in around next week but for now I was aloud go home and stay in bed or on the sofa. The tv was on and It was boring parliament and tv shows that I didn’t get. I was watching the news and then I came on. “Wow I’m on the news” There was silence for a moment
“Uncle why does it look like the news reporters are at our house?’’
“Um because they are at our house”
“What are we going to do” “I don’t know”.
“I’ll take you to the bach and we'll figure things out from there.”
I packed my things headed to the car knowing it was going to be a long drive. The closest beach was an hour away there’s no way I’m going to make that drive. “I have an idea why don’t you take a fake in the car and I will be on the others side of it and they will think that I’m in the house”.
“Okay” said uncle
Chapter 9
Last Life
Driving down the road there's no cars coming down the other side. We turn the corner he trys to miss the tree laying on the road. Smash! The car hits the tree the car is in pieces on the road I can’t breathe. I see blood everywhere on uncle, I can’t talk. Something wet is Dripping down my head I put my hand on my head It’s blood. There is a cut on my head. I Say in my head this can’t get worse. But then it just did. The car rolls down the hill up and down my head bangs on the roof, glass and rocks I can feel them in my head. I hear sirens they try to come it works I need to go to the hospital as fast as I can. I know this is my last chance of life rushing to the hospital trying to do whatever they can but it’s not working. I know that my time is up I can feel it. Bang they try to shock me. Too late. It’s over.
